Spring is finally here after the long Sapporo winter.
The sakura trees in Sapporo typically bloom about a month later than those in the main island of Honshu, so their peak coincides with Golden Week.
At Bar Ignis Sapporo on the 10th floor, from April 1st to May 31st, there will be new sakura-themed cocktails on our menu. They will be accompanied by a serving of green tea mochi (rice cake).

The White Cherry Blossom
This cocktail, with a rice wine base, uses snow and sakura as an image. The creamy sweetness and soft flavors of the rice wine work together in harmony. It is topped off with cherry blossom chocolate.

Mountain Cherry Cocktail
This cocktail calls upon the sour notes of the mountain cherry, popular in spring. The translucent light pink coloring and the kick from the seltzer water make for a refreshing combination. You can even enjoy the taste of the lightly salted cherry floating at the top.

We’ve taken the classic Salty Dog and fused it with sakura liqueur and cranberry juice. It is a cocktail with sakura scents and a sweet taste. The purple perilla gives the drink a cute accent.
