Notice of Traffic Restrictions for Ushio Matsuri (July 26th – July 28th)

Dear Guests,

The largest festival in Otaru, “Ushio Matsuri,” will be held from Friday, July 26th to Sunday, July 28th. This major event in Hokkaido attracts approximately one million visitors each year.

Due to this festival, significant traffic restrictions will be in place for the above three days, and congestion is expected throughout the city.

For Guests Arriving by Car:

• Please check the traffic restriction areas on the official Ushio Matsuri website: http://otaru.ushiomatsuri.net/.
• Our parking lot is available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, due to traffic restrictions, it may be difficult to access our parking lot during this period.
• We usually direct guests to nearby coin-operated parking lots if our parking lot is full. However, finding available parking spaces in these parking lots will be extremely difficult during this period.

We strongly recommend using public transportation to reach our hotel during this period.
