In this renewal, we introduce a new breakfast featuring “savory breads,” a staple of Japanese food culture, with a unique twist from THE LIVELY KITCHEN OSAKA HONMACHI. The main offerings include Japanese-inspired savory breads such as katsukare (pork cutlet curry), dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet), and chicken nanban, which are popular among international guests. Additionally, enjoy vibrant fruit sandwiches, and signature Croque Monsieur and delicatessen sandwiches typical of a casual French restaurant.
You can choose up to three out of six carefully crafted options, each rich in flavor and thoughtfully prepared. For side dishes, select from “earth” or “sea” umami-rich dashi soups, seasonal vegetable salads, and fresh fruits. A drink buffet is also available. Experience a breakfast that combines taste with originality, served on bespoke Shigaraki ware, and enjoy a distinctive morning meal only available at THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI.

Savory Breads
Top Row, Left to Right:
- Overflowing Chicken Nanban Sandwich: Chicken is coated in a generous egg batter and fried, then tossed in a sweet and sour sauce and sandwiched with a smoked pickled radish tartar sauce.
- Cheese-Melting Katsukare Bread: Chicken cutlet, original curry, and melted cheese cream are sandwiched in a whole grain roll to recreate the curry bread. The roll is topped with spice breadcrumbs, baked with olive oil to achieve the crispy texture of curry bread.
- Fried Dashimaki Tamago Sandwich: Dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet) is deep-fried and sandwiched with a potato salad rich in mayonnaise, serving as a delicious sauce.

Chef: Kohei Nishihura
Having trained in restaurants in Kobe, Osaka, and France, Kohei Nishihura served as head chef at several French restaurants in Osaka, including the modern French cuisine establishment La Chic in Yodoyabashi. In December 2019, he assumed the role of head chef at THE LIVELY KITCHEN OSAKA HONMACHI. For the appetizers in his course meals, he offers French delicatessen-inspired dishes. Striking a delicate balance between classic and modern French cuisine, he emphasizes dishes that highlight the vitality of ingredients nurtured by Japan’s four seasons, aiming to create dishes that resonate with both the essence of the ingredients and the diners’ hearts. Utilizing his sense and knowledge cultivated through his experiences, he aims to convey the charm of “Casual French” unique to THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI, where guests can experience French cuisine in a more approachable manner.
