Hello from the staff at HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU!
Although the days are still chilly, the season for cherry blossoms is just around the corner. Recently, the 2025 cherry blossom forecast was announced, with blooms in Tokyo expected to begin around March 21.
In this article, we’d like to introduce some amazing cherry blossom spots that are easily accessible from HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU. Let’s dive in!
1. Ueno Onshi Park
When it comes to Ueno, the first place that comes to mind is Ueno Onshi Park!
With around 800 cherry trees blooming all at once, the view is simply breathtaking. While the park is easily accessible from Ueno Station, it’s also just a 10-minute walk or 5-minute bike ride from our hotel.
From late March to early April, the park hosts the Cherry Blossom Festival, featuring food stalls, stage events, and illuminated cherry blossoms at night. Staying at our hotel gives you the flexibility to enjoy the blossoms at night with their magical lighting or during the daytime after a relaxing overnight stay.
Access from HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU:
▶︎ Walk: 10 minutes
▶︎ Bike: 5 minutes
▶︎ By train: 2-minute walk from JR, Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, or Hibiya Line Ueno Station
1-minute walk from Keisei Ueno Station
2. Yanaka Cemetery
Next is Tokyo Yanaka Cemetery, famous for its iconic Sakura-dori (Cherry Blossom Street). In spring, cherry blossoms create a tunnel-like canopy over the path, and when the petals fall, they form a picturesque “carpet” on the ground. It’s an Instagram-worthy spot that offers a different vibe compared to Ueno Park.
Please note, however, that parties and picnics are not allowed here, so enjoy the scenery peacefully.

3. Sumida Park
Lastly, we recommend Sumida Park. Situated near Tokyo Skytree, this park offers a unique opportunity to enjoy cherry blossoms while taking in views of the towering landmark. Cherry trees line both sides of the Sumida River, creating a stunning combination of blossoms and water.
Like Ueno Park, Sumida Park also hosts a Cherry Blossom Festival during the blooming season, with illuminated trees at night. This makes it a great spot to enjoy the beauty of the cherry blossoms alongside the iconic Tokyo Skytree after sunset.
