Countdown event where you can discover a new side of Okinawa through music, art, and food
At the “ISLAND-CHAMPURU 2024-2025 COUNTDOWN” event, which will conclude 2024, we invite you to experience a unique “new Okinawa” at ESTINATE HOTEL NAHA through music, art, and food. The event will feature live painting full of excitement, workshops where you can casually engage with art, live music performances, and a food experience to elevate the festive mood.
To make it easy for everyone to join, including locals who may not often have the chance to stay at our hotel, admission is free and open to the public. Food and drinks will be available for purchase starting at 6:00 PM, with music and art performances beginning at 9:00 PM. Whether you’re looking for a place to spend New Year’s Eve or a location to celebrate the countdown, we welcome you to drop by with your family and friends for a memorable night.

■Art
We are excited to welcome Fingerpainter Yukako, who will hold a live painting session (22:45–23:30) inspired by the event theme “ISLAND CHAMPURU,” as well as a workshop (21:00–22:00) where participants can engage with art firsthand.
Originally from Tamba-Sasayama City in Hyogo Prefecture, Fingerpainter Yukako couldn’t give up on her childhood dream of becoming a painter, so she began to teach herself how to paint. During a trip to Okinawa, she was deeply moved by the vibrant colors of the island’s nature and decided to relocate there in 2014. By painting with her fingers, she strives to convey emotions directly and express vitality. Her goal is to create unique pieces filled with “strength,” “gentleness,” and “warmth,” hoping to touch the hearts of those who view her work.

Under the guidance of Fingerpainter Yukako, participants of all ages, from children to adults, can enjoy a casual finger-painting experience. Create your own unique artwork by painting freely with your fingers on original ESTINATE HOTEL Naha postcards, and enjoy this creative, hands-on art activity.
■Music
The event will feature lively music not only from Okinawa but also with rhythms inspired by Mexico and Latin America, creating an exciting atmosphere. Enjoy the unique, resonant sound of live performances that can only be experienced in the moment. (21:00–24:00)

The hotel’s popular restaurant, which features a “Ryukyu Mexican” concept, will be serving its signature “Ryukyu TACOS” with special event-only toppings.
